I’m one cynical gal.  One might safely argue that I am cynical to a fault.  That’s not really a quality to boast.  However, it is my reality, and I have to face it.  Every once in a blue moon, something comes along that prompts me to set that cynicism aside and tumble head first into a world of goofy grins.  I found one of those things today, so I feel compelled to share it with you.

Recently, I searched for adoption jewelry online.  Conventional pickings are pretty slim, but yet again, Etsy- one of my favorite corners of the internet- did not disappoint.  Today, I’d like to show you some of those wonderful finds.

I cannot wait– CANNOT WAIT– for the day when we can share that we adoptED with people.  The day when our adoption goes from”ing” to “ed” will be a joyous day in our home.  As any self respecting lady will probably agree, jewelry is a great way to commemorate an occasion.  There’s something about a charm softly thumping against your chest bone that adds finality to a chapter of your life.  When SBC arrives, you can bet your hide that I’ll order the Chosen necklace.  To me, it’s a beautiful reminder to adoptive parents that they were chosen to parent these gorgeous kids, whether by the birth parents or fate.  It’s a heart filling notion.

For those who are waiting, to say that time is tough is an understatement.  When I was searching for adoption jewelry, I had no expectation or hope of finding a piece for the waiting parent.  The fun doesn’t start until you are matched.  However, I managed to run across this beautiful bracelet in my search, and I knew I had to add a category to include it.  This is the Waiting bracelet.  You can change the charm or even add an additional copper tag (for a small charge) if you’d like a tag with name and DOB information included.  I loved this bracelet so much, that I bought one for myself!  I can’t wait until it gets here!

I love you to the moon and back

One of my favorite phrases is “I love you to the moon and back.”  It also happens to be a beloved children’s book.  The same creator of Waiting also offers “I love you to the moon… and back.“  Could I love this bracelet any more?  No.  It would be impossible.  I love it THAT much.  I can’t think of a time when it wouldn’t be perfect to gift this to your child– big or small.  What a beautiful statement full of love!
